Saxophonist Asako Inoue was born in Kobe, Japan.

After graduating from the Osaka College of Music, she completed here training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she graduated with top prize and unanimity, as well as receiving the Selmer Award. Ms. Inoue received a two-year scholarship to pursue her studies overseas for artists dispatched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

Ms. Inoue has received recognition for her artistic contributions through several awards and honors, including the Hyogo Prefecture Art Encouragement Award and the Kobe Nada Lions Club Music Award. As a member of the critically acclaimed Asako Inoue x Yoshiya Fuji DUO, she received the Suntory Foundation for Arts Keizo Saji Award.

Together with pianist Yoshiya Fujii, Ms. Inoue has released multiple commercial albums, including Prélude and Prélude II. In addition, she has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at music festivals and in concerts throughout Japan, France, Belgium, Canada, China, Taiwan, and more. She served on the jury of Taiwan, France, and China's International Saxophone Competitions, as well as domestically for the Kobe International Music Competition, Osaka International Music Competition, and others, as well as serving as a judge in several chamber music competitions in various parts of Japan. Furthermore, she often appears on the jury for the entrance examination and graduation examination for the saxophone department of the at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.

Ms. Inoue currently serves as a specially appointed Associate Professor at the Osaka College of Music.
